Triathlon 2012

Okay, it's a go!

 Bright and early (6:15am early) Saturday morning we got up and headed over to the Boy Scouts Triathlon held at Castaic Lake.  Addison is a Varsity scout now and is able to compete.  Instead of going all out on his own this year, he recruited a friend and his dad to be a team. 

 The Team!  (should of come up with some cool name...)

James' leg...to swim 400 meters in the cold lagoon

Jeff's leg....bike 5.5 miles

Addison's leg....run 3 miles

 And they are in the water!

James is on the swim team with Addison but we have never seen him swim.  Well, he kind of proved to us what an AWESOME swimmer he is and popped out of that water in 6th place!!

 Addison quickly ran up to tell Jeff to get ready on his bike.  I didn't even make it up there in time to get pictures of Jeff taking off.   The bike track was NOT an easy one.  The first two and a half miles was all up hill.  Jeff said he had to get off his bike 5 times to walk it up the hill.  But, then made up for it on the way down.  

We sat around and waited....

 ahh there he is!  So happy to see him back... in one piece!!

 Jeff tagged Addison and then he was off.  The run was half way around the lagoon and back.  He did an awesome job.  And if you were on a team you had to go meet your runner and run in together. 

 MADE IT!!

 You guys rocked!! 

Now Addison wants to do the whole thing by himself next year.(Jeff, not so much)

 By the time we left it was close to lunch, so some In n Out was needed!

And this is what happens when you wake up early on the one day you can sleep in to run in a Triathlon!!

Even had a dance that night!  Got two girls numbers!  ha
