Wednesday night was the Court of Honor for scouts. Addison earned five Merit badges from Scout camp and also advanced to the rank of Life. He's now ready to get started on his Eagle project. He's having so much fun in scouts and also can't wait to get his project started. He has a few in mind and has even started contacting.
Morgan was Author of the week this week. I had no idea until Jeff drove by the school one day and saw her name on the sign. Way to go Morgan. Last year she wrote a story and it was made into a book. So, this week children were able to view it in the library. She loves to write.... even has notebooks on her Christmas list!
The Elementary kids had school off today and Jeff also. (poor Addison and Sydney still had school!) So, we put our time to good use and got some scouting done with Westley. He just needs a couple more things to do to get his Bear. Today he learned how to handle a pocketknife and had to carve something. I gave him a bar of soap and he and Jeff went to work. So fun watching him carve... also smelled pretty clean! :) A clean, smelling Bear!
The kids Star Test results finally came in the mail yesterday. We got Addison's a few weeks ago and he did awesome. Morgan got Advanced in all three of her subjects and Westley got Advanced in all of his subjects. Way to go smartie kids.
