Fall Break 2014

The three older kids only had Monday and Tuesday off for fall break. We pretty much did nothing. They didn't want to and I was in a bad funk! Addison did some driving on his own-- learning to drive stick.  Tuesday night Jeff was home so we went to dinner at Red Robin. Taking the whole family out is expensive! Only Sydney qualifies for a kids meal but Westley still looks and acts the part. Crazy he's going to be 12 in a month. Anyway-- we ate and then walked around the mall. That was the older kids fall break. Sorry guys.

Wednesday after kids left for school it was just Sydney and I. Like old times. Loved it. Can't remember what we did....
But, that afternoon I taught three piano lessons and then took Westley to hockey practice and got home right before it was time to leave for scouts. And the statement "oh ya, we are suppose to bring treats tonight" came out of oldest mouth. So, sent him to church early with awards since Jeff couldn't get the night off and I stopped at the grocery store and bought cookies. Good thing, I was the only one who brought treats.

Westley earned his Tenderfoot and Second class badge. He also received the four merit badges from camp.
Addison received his two merit badges from camp. I always find his sash on my sewing machine after these court of honors. I get the hint-- still hasn't been done though.
Someone loved sleeping in during fall break.
Thursday Sydney was invited to her friends princess tea party. She had a blast!  So cute.
Friday after my chiropractor appointment (still trying to get my neck fixed from camping!!) we decided to make a quick trip to the pumpkin patch. Texted some close friends last minute and some fun we had!  Again, weird just having one kid to hang around with.

Saturday morning Addison and Morgan had to be up early for Beehive/deacon day. Addison is on the youth committee and had to conduct and put together a little workshop. Morgan had fun but was a bit humiliated having to learn to dance with boys--- while her brother was there. Ha

Then our usual Saturday afternoon/evening/night adventures down in Burbank for the boys hockey games. We got home about 8:45pm and the boys got right into putting new tires and rims on the "new" car. Yes, jeff did most of the work. Addison hurt his knee during his game and wasn't doing great.
All of them watching while dad worked!
Sydney doesn't want to go back to school-- don't blame her and now we get to look forward to Thanksgiving break!  :)

Can you seriously believe your life includes a family gathering around your SON'S car!?!? Super crazy how fast it goes.
